Another black man lost his life at the hands of Louisianna PD. Mr. Alton Sterling was minding his business selling cds. Again! Mr Sterling was selling cds.......wasn't robbing anyone. Wasnt menacing. He was making extra money to take care of his family. What did he do so heinous that would make someone want to take his life? Took a father away from his kids, and a husband away from his wife.
We do all these protests and demand justice but has it worked? Time after time the officers responsible for these murders have gotten away with murder. There is no justice. No one is coming to render justice on behalf of the black community. We've been taught and drilled on how to interact with police. Its a part of growing up black. But does it work? Is there anything we can do to protect ourselves from being the next victim of police murders?
