What happened to teaching children respect?

We see it every day. On tv, social media, where children are totally out of control! We turn a blind eye. Tell ourselves thank God that's not my Child! But honestly speaking. How do you know your child doesn't behave the same way? Our children spend most of the day in school amoungst their peers. Usually when the parents are away children tend to be different.
although in schools usually the tone is having respect for all, you can't help but wonder why children nowadays are so disrespectful if the same message is taught at home. Time to be honest and take a look at some things. The number one reason is often times when you see such disrespectful children is that the parents themselves are disrespectful or allow the children to disrespect them! When these parents are confronted about their child's behavior, instead of addressing the issues with the child, they lash out at the people who try to help. Teachers cant teach anymore. I'm not just refering to classroom teachers. I'm also reffering to community leaders, mentors and such. If your child won't listen to you, how are they going to be productive in society? How do we get back our children? How will they learn tolerance and patience if they have none? How will they learn how to lead if they can't listen? Maybe they are just trying to be heard? Maybe they are wide awake looking to their elders but are getting no direction? Maybe they are looking for an outlet for full expression but cant find it? Look around you. Our children are speaking and WE are not listening! Time for us as a community, a global community!  LISTEN UP! What's it going to take? What's your call of action?
